(Abid Chaudhry) On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, the police issued a high alert regarding the security arrangements across Punjab including Lahore.
More than 30,000 police officers and personnel will be assigned to security and traffic arrangements across the province including Lahore, 311 elite force, 163 QRF teams, 811 patrol vehicles, 1460 motorcycle riding teams will perform security duties.
IG Punjab 150 walk-through gates, 1500 metal detectors will be assisted in the security arrangements, Dr. Usman Anwar Lahore Safe Cities Authority cameras will monitor all activities. Foolproof security will be provided to more than 450 programs of Azadi celebrations across the province including Lahore, including 370 programs of Punjab Police A plus category K7A category K47B category.
IG Punjab instructed CCPO Lahore, RPOs, CPOs, DPOs to self-supervise security and traffic arrangements for Independence Day, police officers and officials to provide a peaceful environment for citizens to celebrate Independence Day. do
IG Punjab said that Police, Special Branch, CTD, Intelligence Agencies, Patrolling, Dolphin Squad, Peru, Traffic Police will ensure the best arrangements, IG Punjab Hurad Bazi, One Wheeling, Aerial Firing, Roads Block, Women. Strict action will be taken against the harassers.
IG Punjab says that the citizens should enjoy freedom according to the Islamic motto, national culture, do not leave the foot of civilization.

Spokesman of Lahore Police said that security will be on high alert on Independence Day, Jashan Azad celebrations, citizens will be given full security, he directed to implement the zero tolerance policy on display of weapons and aerial firing. Wheeling, juggling, road block and racing are not allowed at all.
The spokesperson of the police ordered indiscriminate action against the perpetrators of hooliganism, one-wheeling and aerial firing, while additional anti-rights forces were deployed in parks and public places.
The spokesperson of Lahore Police further said that immediate action will be taken on harassment of women, Dolphin Squad, Peru, Elite Force teams will patrol the main highways, the security personnel will remain there until the safe return of the participants.
According to the police spokesman, additional personnel have been deployed for the security of important buildings and sensitive places, security has been increased at the entrances and exits of the city, and a coordinated traffic plan has been formed to ensure the flow of traffic.
