The summit of countries of the Amazon opens, with the intention that the presidents of the region can present their concerns and alternatives in their efforts to save the lungs of the earth. The appointment is presented as an urgent call to stop the high rates of deforestation in the Amazon, as well as extractivism and aggression against their cultures and identities.
