BOLZANO. Maggiore safety in residential complexes, controls more severe and interventions more quickly: these are the main points that the provincial councilor for subsidized housing, Ulli Mairand the president of Ipes, Francesca Tosolinithey agreed in a meeting with the police commissioner of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori.
During the discussion, particular attention was paid to the general issues of safety and public order within and near the residential complexes of theInstitute for social housing. “Among the many topics discussed, I underlined to the police commissioner the need to speed up eviction procedures and increase checks against illegal occupations, as well as to act decisively against the phenomena of petty crime, violence and abandonment. A common approach is needed which is also in the interests of other residents living in Ipes housing,” Mair said.
Sartori, for his part, said he was aware of the problems current, ready to address them through careful monitoring and rapid intervention by the police and underlined the importance of reporting incidents to the competent authorities. He also invited citizens to use the “Youpol” application more often, which allows messages and images to be transmitted anonymously and in real time to police operators. During the meeting it was agreed to intensify cooperation and take the necessary measures to improve safety and guarantee the tenants of the Ipes apartments, to help make these spaces a safe and livable environment for tenants.
