Today, Thursday, the Karbala Operations Command announced its security plan for the month of Muharram and the Ashura visit, while confirming the mobilization of the security services and army aviation to secure the visit.

The media director of the command, Brigadier General Fahim Karim Al-Ghariti, told the (INA): “The plan was developed under the direct supervision of the Minister of Interior, the general supervisor of the security plan, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and under the field supervision of the commander of Karbala operations, Lieutenant General Ali Al-Hashemi,” indicating that “the command carried out preemptive operations that included all areas of responsibility and administrative borders of Karbala Governorate.”
Al-Ghariti added, “The Ministries of Defense and Interior are supporting all the concerned ministries, especially transportation, health, and electricity, as a large number of vehicles have been sent, especially ambulances and medical detachments affiliated with the two ministries.”
Al-Kriti explained that “large numbers of security forces will participate in the plan to protect visitors,” while he pointed out that “all security agencies and army aviation, which is responsible for surveying the administrative borders of Karbala Governorate, have been mobilized.”
