Coach Pep Guardiola praised the Internazionale team. However, the Spaniard focused on performance to leave the field with the title.
“I’ve seen a lot of Inter games to know what we need to do. At the end of the day, it’s a football match. The team that is better in the 95 minutes will win. If you look at history, Inter are bigger than us. But that it’s not important. What matters is to have the best possible performance tomorrow. That’s what will make the difference”, he said.
On the other hand, Internazionale arrives as an underdog for this decision. The team stayed away from the Calcio title, but grew in production in the final stretch of the season. Coach Simone Inzaghi admitted that the opponent is the favorite in the match.
“It is normal for Manchester City to be favourites, they are the best team in the world and they have already shown that. We also had a fantastic campaign. We want to make history. After 13 years we are in the final and we want to seize the opportunity. We will need a lot of heart and a lot of mind,” he said.
Inter are in the Champions League final after eliminating Milan in the semifinals. The team relies on the attack formed by Lautaro Martínez and Lukaku to reach the title. Already City, which has midfielder De Bruyne and striker Haaland as its main names, reached the decision by eliminating the current champion Real Madrid.
