The third edition of the Burkina Cultural Days in San Francisco (“Waa Reem” festival) will be held from June 16 to 18, 2023. This is the announcement made this Saturday, March 18, 2023 by the organizing committee.
The 3rd act of Burkina’s cultural days in San Francisco will be held on June 16, 17 and 18, 2023. On the program for this 3rd meeting, performances by artists and applied arts will punctuate the festival. For Clovis Ouédraogo, this activity aims to promote Burkinabe culture and create relationships between the inhabitants of Ouagadougou and San Francisco.
” THE two first editions were focused on fashion. We believe we can expand. It is in this sense that we have made an estimate of ten participants, and inside you with musicians, stylists, visual artists and everything that falls within the framework of culture, ” he said.
Beyond this program, the organizers see through the cultural days of Burkina in San Francisco, a meeting place, a forum for business and mixing. It is then a more than cultural meeting that they want to offer. For this edition, the estimated budget is 74 million CFA francs.
Referring to the results of past editions, the organizers hinted that it was a success. “The results are quite appreciable”, they argue. They then believe that it was the positive results of the first two editions that led to the holding of the 3rd edition.
