The 10th edition of the Faso Music Awards (FAMA) will be held from May 18 to 20, 2023. This is the information given by the general commissioner of the event this Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Bobo Dioulasso. According to the president of the organizing committee, Youssef Ouédraogo, this edition is focused on 3 activities which are the panel, the FAMA off and the award ceremony.
For the 10th act of the Faso Music Awards (FAMA), the appointment given is from May 18 to 20, 223. For the appointment of 2023, the organizing committee intends to work twice as hard to offer a great event to Burkinabè . And to do this, the president of the organizing committee, Youssef Ouédraogo and all his staff have articulated the activity in 3 axes. These are the panel, the FAMA off and the institution ceremony.
“This year 2023, the FAMA celebrates its 10th anniversary. This is a new opportunity to look into the issues inherent in the evolution of music and to celebrate the merit of professionals in the music industry during a great night”, he said.
For this edition, the chosen theme is, “the challenges of cultural diplomacy for Burkina Faso”. According to Youssef Ouédraogo, culture occupies an important place in the constitution of humanity and dignity. In ten years of existence, “the FAMAs have distinguished around 200 professionals from the various links in the music industry”.
Returning to the various activities, the president of the organizing committee explained that with regard to the panel, it is held in collaboration with the University of Ouagadougou. “The FAMA are planning to organize a national symposium on the subject. It aims to generate strong ideas and an action plan for the cultural influence of Burkina”. he said.
For the sets off, Youssef Ouédraogo meant that it is a question of creating a “frame of expression” for young talent. For him, the FAMAs are also intended to offer the possibility for new talents to be detected.
