Thirumangalam: In Thirumangalam municipal area, the women of the area protested by planting saplings on the muddy road as the road was not repaired for six months. There are more than 1000 houses in Mokkaiyan Ambalam town, one of the extension areas of Tirumangalam municipality. Tar roads were constructed in this area last year. Roads were dug to provide water connection in this area six months ago. The closed roads were not constructed properly after the connection. It was also seen as hollow. The road has become muddy due to the rains of the past few days. The street lights are also not lit properly. Despite informing the municipal authorities several times, no action has been taken. As a result, the women from that area took part in the protest of planting saplings on the road yesterday.
