Sefrou: school transport buses donated to local authorities

The governor of the province of Sefrou, Omar Touimi Benjelloun, proceeded, on this occasion, to the handing over of the keys to the school transport buses for the benefit of the local authorities benefiting from the support of the INDH.

This operation is part of support for the school transport fleet in the province of Sefrou, which currently includes 105 vehicles financed by the INDH.

This qualitative operation, which is part of the 4th INDH program relating to the boosting of human capital of rising generations, is also part of the support for schooling and the fight against school dropout among children from vulnerable groups in rural areas, particularly girls.

In addition, 17 hearing-impaired students benefited from hearing correction devices, as part of the implementation of a project to support schoolchildren from poor families in the province of Sefrou.

The program is implemented with the support of the INDH in partnership with the provincial delegation of Health and Social Protection and the provincial delegation of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Sefrou.

In a statement to MAP and its news channel (M24), the head of the social action division in the province of Sefrou, Adil Zahiri indicated that the process of distributing buses is part of the fourth program of the INDH relating to the boosting of the human capital of the rising generations, with the aim of supporting and strengthening the education sector and combating school dropout, particularly in rural areas.

He stressed that the provision of hearing aids targets primary school students in order to facilitate their integration into educational establishments and to combat the health causes of academic failure.

For his part, the provincial director of National Education in Sefrou, Mohamed Kelil, emphasized the importance of the two projects in the fight against various forms of school dropout and improving the quality of education in rural areas.
