Some should meet at the public meeting announced this Friday evening at the Maison des associations in Melun. Two men and two women, presented by the political organization Permanent Revolution as activists, were released this Thursday afternoon after spending a few hours in police custody for “incitement to hatred”. They were arrested Wednesday evening while making a collage “in solidarity with Palestine” near the Melun station.

The quartet was arrested by the police around 9:15 p.m. while they were sticking A4 sheets on sheet metal protecting a construction site. “On each sheet, a letter was written and the result was: bombing of refugee camps. Israel is a murderer,” specifies the Melun prosecutor’s office. The announcement of this arrest quickly spread within the far-left party since a rally was organized this Thursday noon in front of the police station to support the two men and two women aged 21 to 59.

Denouncing “a scandalous repression”, Permanent Revolution deplored these arrests carried out during “a militant action to denounce the dramatic situation underway in Gaza”. The organization holds open assemblies throughout France “to prepare for revenge against Macron”. The next one takes place this Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Melun.
