Tiruvottiyur: The rules of conduct have come into force for the urban local government elections. Flying squads in Chennai have been actively conducting vehicle checks at various places. Accordingly, the Election Flying Corps led by Officer Nithiyanantham conducted a check on the Madhavaram Ponniamman Medu area on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway last night. Then they stopped and tested the two-wheeler that came through. It was learned that the person who came in had Rs. 82,000 and did not have the relevant documents. Subsequently, the money was confiscated and handed over to the state treasury by the Election Flying Corps.
