Selection of players for last 2 Tests: Chetan Sharma barred from selection committee meeting

by time news

Mumbai: Former cricketer Chetan Sharma is the chairman of the Indian cricket team’s selection committee. He has recently come under fire for his controversial comments in a private television sting operation. There was ego between Kohli and Rohit Sharma, and Ganguly always disliked Kohli. He said that players are involved in cheating for fitness. Due to this, captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and other senior players are angry with him. In this case, the selection of the Indian team players for the last 2 matches against the Australia team will be held after the completion of the Ranji Cup final.

It is reported that Chetan Sharma will not be allowed to participate. It is said that Shivsundar Das will be the interim chairman and the selection committee meeting will be held under his leadership. A BCCI official said, “It is definitely an embarrassing situation. Obviously, the players will not be happy when unsavory things are made public by the chairman of the selection committee. We know that the selection meeting will be held immediately after the Ranji final. However, the final decision rests with Secretary Jayshaw. But Chetan is unlikely to be allowed as we cannot allow players’ dissatisfaction because of one person,” he said.
