Selection of players for the Indian team for the World Cup Rollball Skating Competition

The 6th World Cup Rollball Skating Championships will be held in Pune, Maharashtra from 6th to 12th next month (April). Men’s and women’s teams from different countries of the world participate in this tournament. Similarly, the selection competition for the women’s team participating on behalf of the Indian team, started yesterday at the Rajan Indoor Stadium in Chinnalapatti.

In this, on behalf of Tamil Nadu, 4 students namely Sushmita, Kanmani, Deos Rezaini and Vasima from Trichy and Dindigul districts and 40 students from other states including Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Assam and Madhya Pradesh participated. Then 25 players were selected for the Indian team. Training for them will be held from tomorrow (Thursday) at the same stadium. The arrangements for this were made by international referee Premnath led by coaches and Rollball South India Secretary Subramaniam, selection coaches Tejaswini, Amitpatel, Mohiniathav and Aparna from Marathi.

International Referee and Rollball Skating Master Premnath said that out of the 5 World Cup rollball skating competitions held so far, the students trained at Rajan Indoor Stadium were selected 4 times on behalf of the Tamil Nadu team. He said that 4 people from Tamil Nadu have been selected to represent the Indian team in the rollball tournament for the World Cup this time.
