Selena Gomez won an award from the Israeli Ruderman Foundation

In 2020, Gomez established the Rare Impact Fund, shortly before the launch of her product line – Rare Beauty, with a double commitment: to donate one percent of all sales from Rare Beauty products to the Rare Impact Fund, as well as to raise 100 million dollars over ten years, in cooperation with philanthropic funds, partners corporate and private donors, to expand accessibility to mental health services and to educate the younger generation on the subject. So far, the foundation has distributed grants totaling 1.7 million dollars to 17 mental health organizations. In addition, in May 2022, Rare Impact Fund and Gomez hosted the first Youth Action Forum on Mental Health, in collaboration with President Biden’s administration and other nonprofits.
