Tijuana BC.- The sale price of the dollar in some exchange houses distributed by Tijuana is below the 17.50 pesosa trend that according to economists could continue in the coming months depending on supply and demand.
The monetary policy that is maintained in the US with the printing of dollars, added to the interest rates that the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) has recently made possible the current value of the dollar against the Mexican peso.

This was commented by the economist and coordinator of the Group 21Fausto Quintana González, who explained that the supply and demand of both currencies is what will determine if the trend continues at the end of the year or not.

Potential income
The economist added that the potential income from tourism and family remittances in the country into the next quarter will be key, especially since it is one of the strong seasons for Tijuana and BC.
On a tour by FRONTERAthe purchase price of the US currency was found between 17.13 and 17.30 pesos on average, while the sale price hovered between 17.35 until the 17.50 pesos average.
Variation so far this year
Recapitulating the dollar-peso variation, in the first weeks of 2023 the dollar was already falling in price below the 19 pesosa figure that has not been observed for 3 years, with a sale price between 18.65 and 18.80 pesos per dollar.
By the end of February, the range that the exchange houses showed a value of 17.50 in the purchase price and 17.70 in the sale price.
