At the opening of the official ceremony, the spokesman for the General Caliph of the Mourides, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, stressed the importance of the celebration of Magal, which he described as a “symbol of victory” for the African man and for Senegal.
According to him, this event is not only a tribute to the resilience and faith of the Sheikh, but also an opportunity to strengthen unity and spirituality within the Mouride community.
