Police Agency Seeks Senior System Developer to Enhance Case Management

The Police Agency has announced a job opening for a flexible and driven system developer to join their equipment and case systems group. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to increasing security and reducing crime in Sweden, while working alongside committed and pleasant colleagues. The IT department, which currently consists of 1,000 employees, is responsible for all IT used by the agency’s 35,500 employees.

The position involves developing digital solutions that are effective for the entire business. This includes working with open-source tools and standard platforms, as well as participating in workshops with the business to develop new functionality. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with end users and gain a deep understanding of how the entire police force operates.

Qualifications for the role include relevant post-secondary education in IT or equivalent acquired experience, as well as extensive work experience in system development. Familiarity with the BMC Remedy ARS platform and experience in operation and system/application management is preferred. Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

The position offers a permanent employment with a six-month trial period. It is primarily based in one of several locations in Sweden, including Stockholm, Umeå, Sundsvall, Gävle, Borlänge, Falun, Uppsala, Örebro, Linköping, Norrköping, Gothenburg, or Malmö. Additionally, there is the possibility of working from home two days a week.
