“I wish someone showed me a study that proves productivity drops after age 50!” Frédérique Jeske is a fifty-year-old comeback. At the head of her association Senior4Good, she seeks to fight against the stereotypes of which seniors are victims in the workplace. Among them, the idea according to which, after a certain age, these workers would not be able to maintain the same efficiency. While this may indeed be true on a case-by-case basis, “we have never observed a sudden generalized decline”says Benoît Serre, vice-president of the National Association of HRDs (ANDRH).

For a long time, the solution had a name: early retirement. Often with their consent, employees who only had a few years of professional life left were pushed out on advantageous financial terms.
