The stock market fell sharply for the fourth day in a row.
The fall in the first day of the week yesterday cost investors Rs 7.86 lakh crore.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell 1,170 points to 58,465. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index fell by 348 points to 17,416.
Shares of Reliance Industries fell as much as 4% as it plans to cancel its deal with Saudi Arabia’s Aramco. Shares of BDM, a public offering for the first time, fell 13 percent.
