The stock market has been falling for a third day due to persistent inflation.

The benchmark Sensex fell below 60,000 points after 15 days as the stock market continued to fall.

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell by 142.44 points to close at 60,179.93, hitting a high of 60,426.61 yesterday (Nov. 17). The Sensex, which had lost 396.34 points (0.65 per cent) to close at 60,322.37, fell to 59,944.77 on increased selling.

The Sensex is currently down 330 points, down 59,678 points.
