Mumbai: The Sensex ended down 215 points (0.35 per cent) at 60,906 at the close of trade on the BSE on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty fell 62 points to settle at 18,082.

Trading in the stock market today started with a decline. The Sensex was down 63 points at 61,058 in early trade. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty was down 28 points at 18,116.

In this case, Sensex fell by 215.26 points to 60,906.09 at the close of trading today. Likewise, Nifty fell 62.55 points to close at 18082.85 on the NSE.

Indian stock markets failed to maintain the gain trend amid global market trends. With the results of the US Federal Reserve Bank’s policy meeting out, traders began to focus on the MBC’s special meeting. Due to these two events, trading of Indian markets ended in a continuous decline in volatility.

In terms of individual stocks, Sunpharma Industries, Tech Mahindra, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Wipro, ITC, Bajaj Pinserv, Tata Steels, HDFC, etc. were among the gainers in today’s trade. On the other hand, M&M, Kodak Mahindra, NTPC, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, L&T, Ultra Tech Cements and Powergrid Corporation were among the decliners.
