The Sensex and Nifty closed higher today on the 4th day of trading in the stock market.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose by 817.06 points to close at 55,464.39, after opening at 54,647.33 yesterday (March 9).
Similarly, the Nifty closed at 16,345.35 points and opened at 16,757.10 points today. The Nifty gained 249.55 points to settle at 16,594.90 points.
The stock market, which has been on a downward trend for the past few days, has been slowly recovering for the past two days.
Shares of Reliance, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Finance rose.
