Capcom revealed Separate paths (Separate Ways), a new story DLC for Resident Evil 4 that comes out of the shadows September 21, 2023.
Separate Paths explores another facet of this story reborn, in which we will follow There’s Wong on a clandestine mission that reunites her with Leon S. Kennedy, who is searching for the president’s missing daughter. Along with Parting Ways, a free update will be released on the same day for The mercenaries which will introduce Ada Wong and her famous boss Albert Wesker as playable characters for this popular extra mode.
The new trailer also shows exciting images of the Resident Evil 4 VR Mode. This new and immersive way to experience the main campaign of Resident Evil 4 will arrive on PlayStation VR2 as free downloadable content in early 2024. Resident Evil 4 VR Mode Get you closer to the action than ever and increase its intensity with intuitive PlayStation VR2 Sense controls, including dual-wielding, realistic weapon handling, enhanced knife action, and more.
In Separate paths, Ada Wong travels to a lonely, rural location in Europe to infiltrate a town controlled by the religious group known as The Illuminati. Under the orders of Albert Wesker, Ada is assigned to obtain the cult’s darkest secret: a mysterious material known as “the Amber.” Her operation is intertwined with Leon S. Kennedy’s search for the president’s missing daughter, providing an alternate perspective to the main story that reveals events unfolding behind the scenes.
In addition to the acclaimed combination of weapons, hand-to-hand combat and knives of Resident Evil 4, Separate paths introduces an additional feature to the experience that takes the fast-paced action to new and exciting heights… literally: for this incredible mission, Ada has a hook gun, thanks to which she can swing across chasms, ascend quickly and dive into the depths. She can also use this device in combat to engage her enemies in melee and take them down from a distance.
Separate paths will be available for $9.99 USD on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles as a downloadable add-on for Resident Evil 4 on September 21. Resident Evil 4 VR Mode will be released in early 2024 as free downloadable content exclusively for PlayStation VR2.
