France will be able to celebrate their athletes who competed in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the place will be: the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

The above was announced this Friday by French President Emmanuel Macron through his social networks.

According to the president, the date to celebrate the French athletes will be on September 14, almost a week after the end of the Paralympic Games, which finish on September 8.

“14 September 2024. Champs-Élysées. The date to celebrate our athletes,” said Macron.

“This Olympic parade of the united French team, accompanied by those who have contributed to the success of the Games, will allow all French people from the Ile de France (a region of Paris) and the provinces to come and enjoy an exceptional moment of communion with our athletes,” the French president told the media.

According to Emmanuel Macron, the decision was taken by the French Olympic and Paralympic Committees and he added that at the end of the parade, the athletes will be received at the Elysée Palace.

The French delegation took part in the Olympic Games with 571 athletes, while 236 athletes will compete in the Paralympic Games. On the other hand, and as of Thursday 8 August, France had won 54 medals, 14 of them gold.
