Through a video published on his X account, the governor of Sinaloa, Ruben Rocha Moyaannounced that due to the wave of violence that has hit the state, the decision has been made to suspend the celebrations for September 15 in the entity.

“We have resolved that The celebration of the ‘Grito’ on September 15th will be suspended. There will be no celebration, neither public nor private (…) The protocol will basically be carried out here at the Government Palace with the presence of the escort, the marching band and my cabinet. Exclusively, there are no guests,” the state leader indicated in a video.

Let us remember that during the morning of this Thursday, September 12, the governor of Sinaloa himself announced the suspension of classes at all levels and educational modalities in the municipalities of Culiacan, Elota, Cosala and San Ignacio.

However, Rubén Rocha indicated that a special protocol will be carried out with the state escort, the war band and members of the cabinet at the Government Palace, this in order to honor the memory of the heroes of the countrybut reaffirming that everything will be private.

Since last Monday, armed clashes have been reported between elements of organized crime and security forces, as well as various shootings, burning of cars and blockades, this allegedly due to the fight between factions of the Sinaloa Cartel.
