The Superintendency of Banks announced that, in accordance with the authorization granted by the Monetary Board, various financial entities will have a change in their service hours next Friday, September 15.
This decision corresponds to the holiday of the anniversary of national independence and includes banks, banking branches and agencies, financial companies, insurance companies, storage companies, exchange houses and microfinance institutions,
It adds that the decision to provide services during this holiday is at the discretion of each entity and they have the option of offering their services through agencies, special windows or other similar means, according to their convenience and operational needs.
This notification is established in article 8 of the “Holiday Regulations of Banking Institutions that operate in the Republic”, as provided in the Resolution of the Monetary Board No. 2079 of May 15, 1957.
Likewise, it is protected by the Government Agreement dated October 6, 1980, which establishes the “Rules on Closings and Holidays of Insurance and Bonding Companies.”
