On Tuesday 17 September, at 4:00 pm in the conference room of the MEI – National Museum of Italian Emigration, the comic “Sotto lo medesimo cielo” will be presented to the public, the graphic novel by Simona Binni inspired by the Tourism of the Roots project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The presentation will be by the Director General for Italians Abroad Min. Plen. Luigi Maria Vignali and the author. The President of the MEI Foundation Paolo Masini and the Director of the MEI Pierangelo Campodonico will also be present.
Presented at the Turin International Book Fair on May 13, “Sotto lo medesimo cielo” is a comic book inspired by the project on Roots Tourism launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to invite Italians and Italian-descendants living abroad to return to Italy to rediscover their origins and learn everything they have only ever heard from their ancestors. To attract new generations to this adventure, the cartoonist Simona Binni was involved, who created a story about the journey of roots in which the protagonist, Cintia, leaves Argentina to reach Liguria, the land of origin of her family.
