During a stay in Brive on September 21, 1940, Father Breuil learned that a dog and teenagers had discovered a marvelous decorated cave in Montignac, in the Dordogne. Even though he is skeptical, he decides to go there the next day. Good for him. The brave abbot falls on his ass, the paintings are magnificent and indeed authentic.
