On September 6, 1952, a crowd of 130,000 attended the airshow in Farnborough, England. We came as a family, we picnicked on the spot. The atmosphere is joyful. The planes, all British, cut through the sky performing spectacular aerial tricks. Candles, rolls, wing turns, spins, inverted flight, you name it. In the crowd, twenty-nine spectators do not suspect that they are living their last minutes.
