Hong Eun-chae of girl group Le Serafim has apologized for the recent controversy over her mocking remarks.
At the showcase to commemorate the release of Seraphim’s fourth mini-album ‘CRAZY’ held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gucheon-myeon-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 29th, Hong Eun-chae was asked about her position on the ‘mocking remarks’.
Hong Eun-chae said to her fans during a live broadcast in March of last year, “You guys must be going to school for a while. It must be hard.” This comment was posted on a community in May of this year, and it became controversial as public opinion formed asking, “Is she mocking her fans?”
Hong Eun-chae said about this, “At the time, I think I felt comfortable because it was a place to communicate with fans. The closer you are to someone, the more careful you have to be, but I didn’t think deeply about this part.” She added, “I’m sorry for disappointing you with my immature words. I will also show that I am more careful and responsible.”
‘Crazy’ is an album that contains the message of ‘Let’s just go crazy with Seraphim’, and contains a total of five songs, including the title song of the same name, ‘Crazy’, ‘Chasing Lightning’, ‘Pierrot’, ‘1-800-hot-n-fun’, and ‘Reason for Not Being Crazy’.
The title song ‘Crazy’ is a house music based on EDM that is hot in the global music market. It is the first genre that Seraphim is presenting since their debut, so there is a lot of anticipation. Through this song, the five members will convey the emotions they feel when they meet someone who drives them crazy.
‘Pierrot’ is a hip-hop style song that samples Kim Wan-sun’s ‘Pierrot is Laughing at Us’. The melody and theme contain elements of the original song, creating music that can be enjoyed by all generations. Heo Yoon-jin is listed as the main producer of the last track, ‘Reason for Not Being Crazy’. Since her debut, she has consistently participated in Le Seraphim’s song production, and has expanded her scope to become the main producer of the team’s music, presenting her own compositions that incorporate her own experiences and thoughts.
Meanwhile, Seraphim will release their 4th mini album ‘Crazy’ on the 30th at 1 PM.
