Serbia has created conditions for increasing the inflow of foreign investment and is ready to encourage Azerbaijani businessmen to implement projects in Serbia.
As reported on Thursday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, this was stated by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Serbia Andrea Horvat at the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia held in Baku.
“We currently have several programs to assist entrepreneurs. These programs provide support for purchasing equipment and opening a new business. We offer these programs to Azerbaijani investors, for example, in the field of food production, industrial automation and innovation, hotel business, and development of the technology sector,” Horvat noted.
According to her, investment projects with the participation of foreign and Serbian companies are extremely important for the development of the economy and improvement of the business environment in Serbia.
It should be noted that mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Serbia are very small, and so far oil and gas predominate in trade turnover.
