Led by Svetislav Pešić, the team was down by 24 points in the second period against Australia, but with an incredible comeback, they turned the game around and took the victory 95-90 in overtime (82-82 in regulation). The star for Serbia was Jokić, who finished the game with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Bogdanović contributed 17 points with 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
From the Australians, Mills scored 26 points with a magical first half, while Giddey stopped at 25 points.
Australia started excellently in the game and was up by +24 (20-44) at 13 minutes, led by the unstoppable Mills.
