Recall that on June 11, two days after the supervisory board at Roscosmos, Krikalev was deprived by Rogozin of the post of executive director for manned space programs of the state corporation and transferred to the status of an advisor to the general director.
On Monday, June 21, the press service of Roscosmos told MK that Krikalev continues to work in his previous position. He was left as director with the wording that the leadership of the state corporation “took into account the experience and competence of Krikalev.” We decided to call Sergei Konstantinovich and personally ask him to comment on the situation.
– Sergei Konstantinovich, did you agree to be an advisor to Dmitry Rogozin?
– No, I didn’t.
– Is your position still called “executive director for manned space programs of Roscosmos”?
– Yes, I continue to work at Roscosmos as the executive director for manned programs.
By the way, the fact that Krikalev was against the transfer to advisors, many journalists working in those days in St. Petersburg, at the International Conference on Space Exploration GLEX-2021, noticed during press conferences. At some point, in front of Sergei Konstantinovich, the plate with the name of his position was changed (the word “adviser” appeared in it instead of “director of manned programs”). However, at the next meeting of the presidium of the conference, instead of the word “adviser”, apparently at the request of Krikalev, “cosmonaut” appeared.
In general, in this situation, when the employee does not agree with the transfer to another position, according to the Labor Code, no one has the right to transfer him anywhere.
If it was really a matter of “violation of corporate ethics”, with which the management connected the translation, then a professional ethics commission should have been created first, which would make such a decision.
Why the leadership of Roskosmos behaved so illogically: at first it dismissed the specialist, and a week later canceled its decision, only God knows. Apparently, it acted impulsively, not really thinking about the consequences and not going into legal norms. And when Dmitry Rogozin was asked to explain the reasons for the transfer of Krikalev to the advisor for the public, he said that he did not consider it important to explain something to someone …
But Krikalev is not an ordinary clerk, he is a Hero of the Soviet Union and a Hero of the Russian Federation. Many people know him, and not only in our country. If we imagine that in his place there would be another, less well-known specialist? Really now, in order to prevent such cases of arbitrariness of personnel, we will have to raise the public, the media every time, bringing information to the attention of the top officials of the state?
