Guatemala celebrates an important achievement in the international cycling with the outstanding performance of Sergio Giovani Chumil in the Return to Portugal. Chumil, professional cyclist of Burgos BH teamachieved victory in the third day of this important competition.
The third stage of the Tour of Portugal concluded in the High from Towerin the Serra da Estrelaone of the most demanding finishes of the course. Chumil, in his debut in the race, demonstrated his strength by being the fastest in the last 400 meters of the stage. This victory placed him in tenth position in the general classification, 1 minute and 54 seconds behind the leader, portuguese Alfonso.
Chumil participated in a strategic breakaway during the stage. He was the last member of the breakaway of the day and was able to hold on until the end, using his energy to successfully finish in the final meters.
