Serious Accident – Seven People Admitted in Ambulances
A major rescue operation is currently underway in Dalarna following a serious traffic accident on the E45 in the Lindänget area between Orsa and Mora. The collision involved two passenger cars, one of which was towing a caravan. The impact of the collision was significant, resulting in a head-on collision between the vehicles.
Upon receiving the alarm from SOS Alarm, it became evident that there were a larger number of injured individuals involved. As a result, a considerable rescue effort has been mobilized, with five units from the rescue service and five units from the ambulance responding to the scene. The police have also been called to the location to assist with the situation.
At the scene of the accident, seven people have been admitted for treatment in ambulances, according to information provided by Mora Tidning. However, approximately 45 minutes after the collision, none of the injured passengers or drivers had been taken away in an ambulance, as paramedics were still evaluating their conditions.
Five minutes later, ambulances began transporting some of the victims to the hospital, as reported by Sveriges Radio. Nonetheless, the head-on collision has resulted in major traffic disruptions on the E45. The Swedish Transport Administration has closed the road in both directions south of Orsa in Dalarna County. Alternative routes have been established, redirecting traffic via smaller roads. The Swedish Transport Administration has set a preliminary end time of 16:00 for these traffic diversions, although this timeframe may be subject to change.
In addition to this accident, another collision has occurred on the E6 outside Kungsbacka. This incident involved four to five cars in a serial collision. The road is partially blocked, and police, emergency services, as well as an ambulance, have been dispatched to the scene, according to the Gothenburg police.
In relation to the accident in Dalarna, the police have issued a penalty order to a motorist for not signaling when changing lanes. A traffic accident report has also been filed. Furthermore, a separate traffic accident has taken place south of Kungälv, involving three cars. One of the cars is reported to have overturned, leading to partial road blockage.
Amidst these incidents, one person has been taken to the hospital. The individual is reportedly awake and talkative, with minor injuries, according to the police.
