TRENTO. The Provincial Health Authority of Trento (APSS) has ordered the suspension of food service activities at a hospitality facility in Dro, on Lake Garda, for which the mayor of the Trentino town has also ordered the immediate closure of the swimming pool.
The measures – it is understood – were taken following an inspection of the staff of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit (Nas) of the Carabinieri of Trento. During the inspection, the military found a “series of inadequacies” and, according to what is reported in the APSS provision, “serious hygiene deficiencieswhich exposes processed and stored foods to a high risk of contamination and harmful deterioration.”
As for the swimming pool, the facility allegedly failed to update the declaration of commencement of activity, to prepare a manual for monitoring water values, to install active surveillance systems, while the lack of personnel trained to provide first aid during opening hours is also contested.
