Šilute police and medics received a report about the injured minor on Wednesday (August 28) evening.
Around 7:34 p.m. a man from Šiluti who was walking along Žalgiris street called the emergency services contact number 112.
He saw a minor girl lying on the ground outside an apartment building and immediately realized that she needed urgent help.
An ambulance was called to the scene.
It turned out that the victim was a 13-year-old girl.
The injuries suffered were serious enough, so paramedics took her to the Klaipėda Children’s Hospital.
The little girl is being treated there.
According to “Vačarus Ekspres”, her leg bone was broken.
It is said that the minor injured herself after falling from the balcony of the apartment building.

According to Pomerania officials, her family was not known to law enforcement before this incident.
