jpnn.comPEKANBARU – Riau Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, went directly to patrol the waters of the Siak River, to ensure that the community was safe during the return flow for Eid homecoming via water transportation.
Monday 15 April 2024 morning, after carrying out routine exercise, Inspector General Iqbal immediately rushed to put on his official clothes and went to the Riau Police Headquarters Polairud Headquarters.
At Mako Polairud, Inspector General Iqbal, three Polairud tactical boats have been prepared to carry out patrols in the waters of the Siak River.
Next, the General with two stars on his shoulders immediately explored the waters of the Siak River, together with the Riau Regional Police’s Director of Water and Water Resources, Kombes Wahyu Prihatmaka, Pekanbaru Police Chief Kombes Jeki, and his team.

He checked the suitability, facilities, and ensured that the passengers carried by the speed boat did not exceed capacity.
Iqbal admitted that he felt called to carry out direct security to ensure the safety and smoothness of traffic in Riau waters.
This patrol is carried out as an effort to prevent disturbances and ensure that the ships used function properly for the safety of the community.
