Seth Kikuni announced his withdrawal from the presidential race and gave his support to Moise Katumbi in a statement sent to ACTUALITE.CD this Monday.
“For years, the same feeling has oppressed and haunted us. This feeling is one of helplessness: we lack security in our streets, purchasing power in the markets, food, water and electricity at home. Hospitals lack proper care, and our courts seem devoid of justice. Promises follow one another without concrete results, as we announced when submitting our candidacy, which is a continuation of our fight for change launched in 2018,” he declared.
Expressing the growing discontent of the Congolese, he underlined their rejection of “amateurism at the top of the State, dictatorial drift, lying speeches, false promises, generalized insecurity and above all, massive electoral fraud during gestation “.
“Following this call and the example shown in particular by the candidate President Matata Ponyo Mapon on the need to transcend our egos and remain in the quest for the best interests of the Nation, I announce to you in agreement with my political party TRACK FOR EMERGENCE, our rallying behind the candidacy of Moïse Katumbi Chapwe as the sole opposition candidate for the presidential election of December 20, 2023,” he added.
He also invited all his colleagues from the opposition and the resistance to join this dynamic.
