Sethuramayya returns; CBI begins Part 5 | Cinema | Deshabhimani

by time news

Sethuramayya, the intellectual of the Malayalam film world, is getting ready for his fifth coming. The shooting of CBI-5 starring Mammootty in the fifth part of the CBI series has started today. The fifth part will be directed by K Madhu himself with a script by SN Swamy, the creator of the last four parts. The CBI Diary, released in 1988, is the first film in the CBI series. Sethuramayyaar, a CBI official played by Mammootty at that time, struck a chord in the minds of the audience. The following year, the second film in the series, Jagratha, hit the silver screen.

Fifteen years later, in 2004, the next installment, Sethuramayya, appeared before the CBI audience. Though it was a success at the CBI theater to release next year, it has not been as well received by the audience as the last three series. Though there have been discussions and rumors about the next part since then, the shooting of the fifth part has started more than 13 years ago.

Mammootty, who is currently starring in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s, will be shooting for CBI on December 5 only. Saikumar will be joined by newcomers Ranji Panicker, Dileesh Pothen, Ramesh Pisharody, Malavika Menon, Saubin and Asha Sarath.
