So far in 2022, 39 players have played in the Indian jersey. From the beginning of 2021, the number of players who have been included in the first eleven till date is 74.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, K.L. Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah led the way. Rohit has managed the team in two Tests, six ODIs and 13 T20Is. Kohli finished with the Test against South Africa. Rahul wore the captain’s hat in three ODIs and one Test.

Pant became the captain in five Twenty20s. Pandya captained three T20Is, Dhawan three ODIs and Bumrah one Test. Sri Lanka, which appointed seven captains in 2017, is with India in this regard. Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara have played the most Tests since 2021, with 17 each. Dhawan (16) in ODIs and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (29) in Twenty20 are leading.
