The uniformed officers named Javier H., Patricia M., Ricardo A., Luis L., Óscar M., Israel M. and Brayan H., were located in the municipality of Ecuandureo shortly after 5:00 a.m., according to information provided by the Secretary of Government, Carlos Torres Piña.

It should be noted that the Kuarichas had disappeared on Tuesday night, which generated a series of mobilizations in the towns of La Cantera and Tarecuato, where four vehicles were set on fire, in addition to vehicular traffic being blocked by the inhabitants, who demanded the appearance of the seven people, among them a woman and the security director.
According to reports, the officers disappeared when they went out to carry out a routine patrol in the Purépecha community of La Cantera, in the municipality of Tangamandapio.

In an interview with the media, the sister of one of the missing persons explained that no prior threats were received and no incidents were reported prior to his disappearance.
“There had never been anything like, I don’t know, threats, nothing in common with those things.”
Likewise, it was detailed that local authorities, based on the reports, established a search operation that included ground and air patrols, and search alerts for the seven missing persons.
