Seven million vaccines were given against Kovid in Oman

by time news

Oman has received more than seven million vaccines against the Kovid epidemic so far. It is estimated that the high vaccination rate in Oman has played a significant role in reducing hospital stays.

Meanwhile, vaccinations against Kovid are in progress in various governorates in Oman. Vaccination is being carried out with a special campaign for locals and foreigners. Kovid cases in the country started rising in January following Omikron. Initially, between 100 and 200 cases were reported. Later, things moved to the point where more than 2000 cases were reported daily.

With this, hospitalizations and death rates began to rise. Things are now under control with less than 10 people being admitted to the hospital. Health officials point out that this is the result of high vaccination in the country. Recently, the health minister said that 90 per cent of those who died of Kovid were not vaccinated. A fourth-dose vaccine is being studied in Oman.
