Just before four o’clock in the morning, a police patrol in Hässleholm attempted to stop an A-tractor carrying seven teenagers for a routine check. However, instead of stopping, the driver of the A-tractor decided to evade the patrol and flee the scene. A short pursuit ensued, leading to a controlled chase. Despite the police’s efforts, the A-tractor continued to speed away, according to police spokesperson Sara Andersson.

Moments later, the A-tractor crashed into either a wall or a fence, resulting in significant damage. Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that the vehicle had been carrying seven passengers. Some had been inside the tractor’s compartment, while others were found in the luggage area, informed Andersson.

Emergency services promptly responded to the accident, transporting several of the teenagers to the hospital. Region Skåne reported that a girl and a boy sustained serious injuries, whereas two boys and another girl suffered minor injuries.

The driver responsible for the reckless incident is suspected of drunk driving, causing bodily harm, illegal driving, gross negligence in traffic, and failing to comply with the police’s instructions to stop. In a surprising turn of events, the police have also reported themselves following the accident.

In line with stricter regulations implemented at the end of August this year, all individuals traveling in an A-tractor are required to wear seat belts. Additionally, passengers must occupy designated seats, with only one person per seat allowed.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and charges are expected to be filed against the driver. This unfortunate event serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible and safe driving practices, especially for young drivers and their passengers.
