Several members of the Saeima have been fined for violating traffic rules; Klementiev

Between April and September of this year, a total of eight members of the 14th Saeima were brought to administrative responsibility.

Member of the Saeima Edvins Shnore (NA) was brought to administrative responsibility for aggressive driving. Zivtiņš explained that in the case of Shnore, the aggressive driving manifested itself as the commission of several other violations of road traffic rules that were related to the creation of dangerous or disturbing situations for road traffic.

According to information from the Information Center of the Ministry of the Interior from the Penal Register, deputy Česlavs Batņa (AS) was held administratively responsible for a violation of stopping his vehicle in places where it is prohibited by the relevant road signs.

On the other hand, MP Anita Brakovska (ZZS) was charged with administrative responsibility for exceeding the permitted driving speed.

Administrative responsibility was imposed on MP Yefimijas Klementjevs (“Stability”) for not using the national language to the extent necessary for the performance of professional and official duties, if the laws provide for the use of the national language.

Deputy Andris Kulberg (AS) was charged with administrative responsibility for violating the established procedure for organizing and conducting meetings, marches and pickets, as well as for exceeding the permitted driving speed.

Deputy Leila Rasima (P) was charged with administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle without a driver’s license or identity document and for not carrying out the mandatory civil liability insurance of the vehicle owner if it is used in road traffic.

Also, the administrative responsibility was applied to deputy Juris Viļumas (AS) – for exceeding the permitted driving speed, as well as for driving without lit daytime running lights or dipped beam lights during daylight hours.

On the other hand, deputy Aiva Vīksna (AS) was called to administrative responsibility for the loss of an identity document.
