The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that various MS gang members were sentenced to up to 200 years in prison for a series of crimes that were committed between 2014 and 2019 in different areas of Sonsonate, Nahuizalco, Nahulingo. , Sonzacate and San Antonio del Monte.

According to the evidence presented at the trial, the defendants are accused of 16 cases of aggravated extortion against several merchants, as well as the crime of disappearance of people.

Judicial investigations attribute 23 cases of aggravated homicides to these subjects. Some victims were students, others were murdered because the defendants considered them to be police informants, and some others were people they considered belonged to opposing gangs.

– Carlos Ernesto Galicia Mendoza, with a sentence of 200 years in prison
– Oscar Leonel Gómez Martínez, received 195 years in prison
