At least Six people have died and nine have been injured in multiple shootings. in different areas of the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, in the west of the country. Between 8:00 p.m. (local time) last Saturday and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, six deaths and nine people were injured in Guayaquil, more specifically in one of the three cantons of Zone 8, the most violent jurisdiction in the country, as reported by Ecuavisa.
The first of the murders took place near a church, and two hours later two other people were killed in another shooting. After these first three deaths, an attack by an armed group resulted in nine injured people who were outside a house while they were meeting. Between 1:30 am and 5:00 am, the other three people died, two of them at the hands of armed groups who fired from a vehicle while the victims were in the street, according to the newspaper ‘Expreso’.
