Severe Flood Warning Issued for Urayasu River in Hokkaido Amid Record Rainfall

Due to heavy rain, the Urayus River flowing through Hokkaido has swollen, and a flood danger information (equivalent to Alert Level 4) has been issued.

The flood danger level has been reached at the Tadoshi Water Level Observation Station (Numata Town, Uryu County), and if flooding occurs, there is a possibility of flooding damage in the cities of Fukagawa, Chippubetsu, Numata, and Obihiro.

Even after the rain weakens, please stay in safe places such as away from cliffs or on higher floors where flooding is less likely to occur.
