But it does not end here because the Poultry Industry Council, which represents the chicken coops, opposed the increase in quotas, claiming that it was a violation of the industry’s planning, which is conducted in a centralized manner. And even after the proposal passed in the Economics Committee, the actual implementation is in the hands of the Poultry Council, which so far has not distributed a single egg from the new quotas.
