Severe tragedy: A 9-year-old ultra-Orthodox girl from Lakewood was killed in a car accident

Leah Gross, a 9-year-old girl from an ultra-Orthodox family in Lakewood, was killed this morning in a serious car accident in the town of Thomas River, New Jersey, when a vehicle slipped and collided with a tree.

Baruch Dayan HaAmet: A severe tragedy befell the ultra-Orthodox community of Thomas River and Lakewood in New Jersey this morning (Tuesday).

The girl Leah Gross, a 9-year-old from an ultra-Orthodox family, was killed when a vehicle slipped off the road around 9 a.m. and collided with a tree.

Rescuers who were called to the scene, on North Bay Avenue and Whitey Road, began resuscitation operations and rushed the girl to a local hospital, where she was unfortunately pronounced dead.

Rescue workers treated a number of other casualties with varying degrees of injury.

Leah is the daughter of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and Baila Gross of Lakewood. They were on their way from the clinic when the accident occurred.
